The Ultima Memoria (UM)Method

Ultima Memoria (UM) follows a systematised, structured and standardised process. It begins with a baseline or entrance test, followed by the selection of the training objective, several learning phases accompanied by learning assessment tests, comprehensive assessment test, the final examination, and, ultimately, certification. In this way, the entire learning process unfolds through a sequence of clearly coordinated stages.

The Process

Prior to the commencement of the training programme, the learners' individual baseline is captured, measured and analysed through the entrance test as part of the preparation and admission phase. On this basis, the relevant learning objectives are defined and a corresponding learning plan is developed, providing the framework for the subsequent course of the training programme. This is followed by three consecutive learning phases, each concluding with a learning assessment test. After Learning Assessment Test (3), the final phase begins, comprising the comprehensive assessment test, the final examination and certification.

Phases of the Training Process

The Ultima Memoria (UM) training process is divided into three clearly distinct phases:

  • the Preparation and Admission Phase
  • the Learning Phase
  • the Final Phase

The Preparation and Admission Phase takes place before the actual training begins and comprises the entrance test, admission, the definition of the learning objective, and the development of the learning plan.

The stated programme duration of (7) seven, (10) ten or (14) fourteen days refers to the subsequent training period. This includes the three learning phases, each concluding with its respective learning assessment test, as well as the final phase comprising:

  • the Comprehensive Assessment Test
  • the Final Examination
  • the Certification

Structure of the Training Process

  • Entrance test
  • Admission to the programme
  • Selection and definition of the learning objective
  • Development of the learning plan

This phase precedes the training programme and is not included in the stated programme duration of (7) seven, (10) ten or (14) fourteen days.

2|Learning Phase

The Learning Phase consists of three consecutive stages:

  • theLearning Phase (1) onewithLearning Assessment Test (1) one
  • theLearning Phase (2) twowithLearning Assessment Test (2) two
  • theLearning Phase (3) threewithLearning Assessment Test (3) three

The duration of these three learning phases depends on the programme selected:

Entrance Test and Admission

The entrance test serves to capture, measure and analyse the baseline level of the relevant memory capabilities. The results obtained provide the basis for admission, for the selection of the appropriate learning programme, and for the subsequent evaluation of the learner's development.

The entrance test comprises the measurement, analysis and evaluation of the following memory capabilities*:

  • S1/100A – the capacity of the memory
  • S1/100B – the speed of the memory
  • S1/100C – the form of expression and precision of the memory
  • S1/100D – the long-term memory

*Ultima Memoria (UM) developed this measurement procedure and thereby made the precise capture of these memory capabilities possible. On this basis, they could, for the first time, be presented in a standardised, systematised and structured form.

Learning Plan

Once the baseline has been established, the individual learning objective is defined. The corresponding learning plan is aligned with the selected target level, the prescribed duration, and the associated performance objective.

Selection and Definition of the Learning Objective

Programme
Performance Objective
Duration
S2/200
twofold (2×) measurable improvement in performance
within 7 days
S3/300
threefold (3×) measurable improvement in performance
within 10 days
S10/1000
tenfold (10×) measurable improvement in performance
within 14 days

Learning Phases

The training programme unfolds across three consecutive learning phases, whose duration and scope are determined by the programme selected. Each phase culminates in a learning assessment test, which evaluates the progress achieved, records the learner's ongoing development and marks the transition to the next stage of the training process.

Comprehensive Assessment Test

The Comprehensive Assessment Test follows Learning Assessment Test (3) and provides an integrated evaluation of the three preceding learning phases. It establishes whether the learning assessments required for the respective programme have been successfully completed and whether the learner meets the conditions for admission to the final examination phase. Admission to the Final Examination is granted only upon successful completion of the Comprehensive Assessment Test.

Final Examination

The Final Examination follows the successful completion of the Comprehensive Assessment Test and marks the formal concluding assessment of the training process. It serves to determine whether the performance requirements defined for the respective programme have been met and whether the intended measurable performance objectives have been achieved. Successful completion of the Final Examination is the prerequisite for Certification.

The Certification

The Ultima Memoria (UM) Certificate documents the successful completion of the training programme and confirms that the performance requirements defined for the respective course level have been met.

The Ultima Memoria (UM) Certificate constitutes a standardised certification instrument that formally verifies the successful completion of the training programme. It confirms that the participant has met the required performance standards, fulfilled the prescribed examination and assessment criteria, and demonstrably developed the memory capabilities defined within the framework of the programme.

The Ultima Memoria (UM) Certification is governed by the Quality Standards of the Ultima Memoria (UM) Association for Innovation and Development (UMAID).

It confirms that the participant has met the performance requirements prescribed for the relevant course level and has demonstrably attained the corresponding measurable performance targets:

Programme

S2/200
increase in performance to 200%
of the baseline value
S3/300
